Abstract
In recent times, the popularity of positive psychology has resulted in an upsurge of resilience studies throughout the world. This presentation aims to discuss findings from investigations conducted in India. The multicultural aspect of the Indian society makes it a fascinating but complex area for research. Personalities and environments are shaped by unique regional subcultures, as well as traditional and contemporary influences. As a result of the existence of myriad sociocultural elements, researchers have reported a variety of factors across samples. On the basis of this discussion, directions for future research focusing on priority areas have been suggested.
