Abstract

Rhodium-catalyzed a diligent method for tandem C-C/C-N bond formation/annulation/ N=N bond cleavage via ring opening approach of cyclopropanols with azobenzene as directing group to access highly functionalized Indoles has been developed. This method gives a straight forward, fine atom-economy, immense substrate applicability for the synthesis of versatile Indole building blocks in one pot synthesis under the mild reaction condition.
