Abstract
Ferroelectricity has been one of the most used and studied phenomena in both scientific and industrial communities. The property of ferroelectricity is manifested by ferroelectric materials, which leads to many Application in the today world. Ferroelectric materials are analogous to ferromagnetism which are also extensively used in various field. Properties of the ferroelectrics materials make them particularly suitable for a wide range of applications, ranging from sensors and actuators to optical or memory devices, as ferroelectric materials show hysteresis effect. Ferroelectric materials also have high dielectric constant as a function of temperature which are used in capacitor to increase the capacitance. All of the above properties and application are found in PZT (Lead Zirconate Titanate) ceramics, which is one of the widely used ferroelectric materials. Although there is on-going awareness program to replace lead in existing application because of toxicity of lead. 60% of lead materials used in existing application which causes many health issues. Our main aim is to replace the lead in existing composition by lead free ferroelectric and attain the same property. There are many ferroelectric materials composition discovered which are lead free but their stability (performance) is not high as in case of lead. In this report we will be focused on lead free composition.
