Abstract

Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF) is a flexible process, in which a flat sheet is deformed to the desired geometry by a series of localized deformations. Incremental sheet forming is capable of forming complex three-dimensional parts using simple tools. It is characterized by high formability, low forming forces, component independent tooling and low-cost manufacturing of customized/low volume products.
