Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine whether innovation plays significant role on total factor productivity growth in India at aggregate level. Design/methodology/approach This study first estimates the total factor productivity growth using growth accounting framework. In the second stage, we examine the long-run and short-run impact of innovation on TFP growth using ARDL bound testing approach.
