Abstract

President Ram Nath Kovind has called upon IIT-Hyderabad graduates to focus on research and innovation and to be relevant to the fourth industrial revolution that is poised to write the script of the 21st century. Addressing IIT-Hyderabad students during their 7th convocation, the President said, “As a second generation IIT, it is important that you borrow as well as learn from the model of the past. Conditions are different from the 1950s and 1960s. India has changed and technology and the discipline of engineering have evolved. Our aspirations are no longer limited to heavy industrial base that we created six decades go.”
