Abstract
Adult sizedhumanoidrobotsaremorecomplicatedtodesignandmanufacturethansmallsized robots.Theimportantfactorbehindthis,isthestrengthofmaterialsIfthematerialisplasticwhich is light-weight,smallhumanoidorbipedrobotscaneasilybemanufactured.Ontheotherhand, if thesameisappliedtoanadultsizedrobot,theplasticdoesnotpossesstherequiredstrength, thusitfailsinstrength.Metalisagoodalternativeforsuchcases,butitincreasestheweightof the robottremendously.Thismayinterferewiththestabilityoftherobot,asinthecaseofbiped, stabilityistheforemostimportantfeatureoftherobot. Therefore, anattemptwasmadetodesignandmanufactureabotusinghybridmaterials,i.e. di�erentmaterialswhereveritisneeded.
