Abstract
Internet-of-Things (IoT) implementations require wireless connectivity between billions of smart sensor nodes/devices (WSN). Battery operation and/or replacement in these devices is not feasible in many applications due to high human maintenance cost and inaccessibility. Hence, harvesting energy from various sources like solar, thermal, Radio Frequency signals (RF) and vibration has become an attractive solution. Since solar energy is most abundant in the ambient, it seems to be the most promising solution for energy harvesting system.
