Abstract

The idea of Dexter is based on "Patient management system", Electronic Medical record(EMR) which typ ically collects, stores and transmits patient data for future use and transmits data to higher centres. Dex ter integrates with the EMR and its main functionality is in providing in-patient data on-the-fly to the doctor. It can be thought of as a digital "case-sheet" but it will work much more than that - It will help in managing cross consultat ions, patients examined in emergency room and overall effective patient management.
