Abstract

Recent searches for lepton flavor universality (LFU) violation in B decays show a possible hint of new physics, especially in decays mediated by the flavor-changing neutral current b→ sℓℓ (ℓ= e or μ ) transition. We report measurements of LFU violating observable RK, the ratio of decay branching fractions of B→ Kμμ to B→ Kee.We also measure the differential branching fraction and CP-averaged isospin asymmetry in B→ Kℓℓ decays. The study is based on the full data sample recorded by the Belle detector at the Υ (4 S) resonance, which contains 772 × 106 BB¯ events from e+e- collisions produced by the KEKB collider. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
