Abstract

Dual emission induced by addition of distilled water in pure solution in a novel phenanthroimidazole derivative molecule was observed. Transient absorption measurements elucidated excited state proton transfer as the primary photo-process resulting in the observed emission. © Optica Publishing Group 2021, © 2021 The Author (s)
